GameGear was awesome. I don't know why they never made a smaller version. Huge color screen put the Gameboy to shame. The games were awesome too. |

Nintendo recently announced a solution to the limited memory contraints of the Nintendo Wii System; Direct SD Card Downloading. This new feature, due out in Spring '09, will give an option for VC and WiiWare titles to be downloaded directly to the SD Card.
This doesn't change the fact that VC and WiiWare games and apps must be launched from the Wii's 512mb internal memory. So while you can download directly to the SD card, you'll still have to copy the game to the Wii's internal memory before playing.
You can read more about it here. |

There are lots of games available to download today in the WiiShop Channel. Normally I don't post such things except big releases, but these are some pretty exciting titles.
- Midnight Bowling - MadStone - Mario Golf 64 - Shining Force II |

Walmart has several games for 2 for $35. Most aren't worth the DVD they're printed on, but there are several good buys in there to hold you over for a while. Click the link check it out.

Teamteabag.com has info on the 2 new releases that will be available as DLC today on WiiWare.
The first is an extra playable character adds instant replayablity to the already exciting game, named Proto Man. Proto Man has different abilities such as a sheild and power slide, but has twice the throw back from getting hit and takes double damage.
Second is the ability to play in "Endless Mode" which is a wave attack type to see how long you can last and saves your time forthe Rankings page.

Kotaku.com has word on an official Nintendo Pedimeter for tracking steps each day. This will most likely be the next step for WiiFit (pun intended).
The word came from OAMI, the trademark and design resources from the office of the European Union.

Gamesblog.ugo.com has a review up on the newly released Wario Land: Shake It! Aside from the fixed 4:3 aspect ratio and scripted cutscenes the game seems to offer lots of gameplay.
"Wario Land: Shake It! is good, simple fun"
If your in need of a good platformer or an avid fan of Wario series, be sure to check it out. |

IGN.com has some pictures of the new upcoming RPG, Arc Rise Fantasia. The screenshots look amazing. I'm glad to see some decent titles starting to rise up. The Wii needs a few good RPG's.
